vivo has unveiled the Y05, the successor to last year's Y04, launching exactly one year after its predecessor in the Middle East market. The budget-friendly smartphone features a 6.74-inch 720p IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and impressive 1,200-nit peak brightness, powered by the 4G-only Unisoc T7225 chipset.

The device comes with 4GB RAM and 64/128GB expandable storage options, paired with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter. vivo has equipped the Y05 with a substantial 6,500 mAh battery supporting 15W wired charging, housed in a design featuring a metal frame, plastic back, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.

Running Android 16 with OriginOS 6, the Y05 includes practical features like IP65 dust and splash resistance and an RGB notification LED on the back. At just $109, the phone measures 167.4 x 77.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 209g, available in black and white color options. This launch demonstrates vivo's strategy of offering feature-rich budget devices with premium touches like high refresh rate displays and large batteries at accessible price points.
