vivo's teaser campaign for the X Fold6 continues with confirmation of the foldable's battery specifications. Product manager Han Boxiao revealed a 7,000mAh battery featuring fifth-generation silicon anode technology and third-generation semi-solid state design. The company claims up to 9.8 hours of heavy usage battery life, representing a 30% improvement over the X Fold5.

The foldable flagship carries IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance ratings alongside an upgraded hinge mechanism. vivo also highlighted enhanced connectivity through new Wi-Fi and signal amplification antennas. These durability and communication upgrades address common pain points for foldable devices, particularly water damage and signal reliability concerns that have plagued earlier models.

vivo shared three official color options: Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night, plus a Black Gold Edition with gold accents. The X Fold6 launches in China on June 26 featuring an 8.02-inch foldable screen and 200MP primary camera. It runs Origin OS 6 Fold and uses a special edition Dimensity 9500 chipset.

The combination of massive battery capacity and premium water resistance positions vivo competitively against Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series. With foldables demanding more robust internals for daily use, these specifications suggest vivo is prioritizing longevity and durability over thinness, potentially appealing to users frustrated by charging limitations in existing foldables.
