Following the vivo X200T launch, the company is preparing to release the V70 and V70 Elite smartphones. A promotional page on vivo's Indian website has revealed key specifications and the design of the V70 Elite, though a launch date remains unannounced. These new devices signal vivo's continued push in the mid-range Android market, competing with brands like Samsung and Xiaomi.

The V70 Elite will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, while the V70 will use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Both phones will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The V70 series will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6 and receive four OS upgrades and six years of security updates. This points to vivo's commitment to software support.

The V70 series boasts a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR support, alongside an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The rear cameras, co-developed with ZEISS, include a 50MP primary and a 50MP "Night Telephoto" lens. With a 6,500 mAh battery and 90W charging, plus AI-powered photography features, the V70 is targeting consumer demand.

Expected to launch between February 16 and 19, 2026, the V70 and V70 Elite are projected to be priced under INR50,000. The inclusion of the AI Holi Portrait feature suggests a focus on the Indian market. These features, along with robust specs, position vivo for a strong entry in the competitive smartphone space.
