Samsung has launched the first One UI 9 beta program, making it available for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in Germany and the UK. The beta arrives as version S94xBXXU2ZZEF and requires a 3.6GB download, targeting early adopters who want to test upcoming software features.

The build includes the May 2026 security patch alongside several new features. Users can expect a more customizable Quick Panel, enhanced Samsung Notes functionality, custom profile cards in Samsung Contacts, and automatic flagging of high-risk apps. These additions suggest Samsung is focusing on both security and user personalization in its next major Android update.

Participation is straightforward through the Samsung Members app, where interested users can download the beta. While currently limited to European markets, Samsung plans expansion to the US and Korea shortly, with India and Poland gaining access on May 26. The company is taking a measured approach to its Android 17-based rollout.

This beta represents Samsung's first public step toward Android 17 integration, giving power users a glimpse at features nearly a year before expected widespread release.
