The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra enters the foldable market with an 'Ultra' designation, succeeding the Z Fold7. While external changes are subtle, internal upgrades are significant. It boasts the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, improved display technology with a less noticeable crease, and an enhanced ultrawide camera mirroring the Galaxy S26 Ultra's setup. A larger 5000 mAh battery and faster charging (45W wired, 20W wireless) are key improvements over its predecessor.

Samsung has also reinforced the frame with tougher materials without adding weight, maintaining its slim profile. The device runs Android 17 with One UI 9, featuring new Gemini AI capabilities. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits, with a 6.5-inch cover screen. The primary camera is a 200MP sensor, complemented by a 10MP telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide lens.

The Z Fold8 Ultra supports 8K video recording and includes stereo speakers. Battery life sees a notable increase, and charging speeds are significantly improved from previous models. The device comes with a USB-C cable, but a charger must be purchased separately. Samsung aims to solidify its position in the competitive foldable segment with these advancements.
