Samsung has officially confirmed the February 25 launch date for the Galaxy S26 series, with the Ultra model set to introduce several notable upgrades. The flagship will feature a new Privacy Display technology that allows per-pixel control over viewing angles, enabling users to hide sensitive information from prying eyes. This feature will be managed through One UI 8.5 with smart controls based on location.

Display improvements include a long-awaited 10-bit panel and a new Gorilla Glass formulation, though the resolution and refresh rate remain unchanged at 6.9 inches with 1440p+ and 1-120Hz LTPO. The S26 Ultra will adopt a simplified version of Qi2 Magnetic Profile for wireless charging, requiring magnetic cases for full accessory compatibility. Charging speeds will see modest improvements with 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will power the Ultra across all markets, abandoning the previous regional Exynos strategy. The device will maintain its 5,000mAh battery capacity while gaining faster charging capabilities. Camera specifications remain largely unchanged from the S25 Ultra, with a 200MP main sensor and various telephoto options. The S Pen will continue as a signature feature without significant upgrades, and the device may include a full Linux terminal for advanced users.
