Samsung Galaxy S26 Smashes South Korean Pre-Order Record

Samsung's Galaxy S26 series has broken pre-order records in South Korea, selling 1.35 million units in just seven days. This outpaces last year's Galaxy S25 series, which took 11 days to reach 1.3 million pre-orders. The achievement may finally surpass the Galaxy Note10's 2019 record, marking a significant milestone for Samsung's flagship lineup.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra dominated sales, accounting for 70% of all pre-orders - a substantial increase from last year's 52%. This surprising shift shows stronger demand for premium features, with customers gravitating toward the highest-end model. The Ultra's popularity was particularly evident in color choices, with Black and White variants proving most popular among buyers.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ models struggled to attract attention despite the overall series success. Color preferences for the Plus model showed some adventurous choices, with Cobalt Violet leading alongside Black. The stark contrast in sales distribution between Ultra and standard models suggests Samsung's strategy of pushing premium features may be paying off in the South Korean market.
