Samsung Foundry has pushed its 4nm FinFET process past the 80% yield threshold, a milestone that signals full process maturity.

The achievement, reported by SEDaily, places Samsung in direct competition with TSMC for the surge in high‑performance memory demand from major tech firms.

With its Pyeongtaek Campus already producing 5nm and 7nm parts, Samsung can now ship 4nm chips to AI accelerators, automotive and mobile customers, and to the sixth‑generation HBM4 memory stacks.

The milestone should curb rising memory costs and help Samsung return to profitability in the second half of the year.
