Samsung's next-generation foldables will reportedly ship with Google's Scam Detection feature built in. According to code discovered in the Phone by Google app beta, the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and the rumored Wide Fold will include this AI-powered scam protection from launch.

Currently limited to the US market, the feature uses Gemini AI to analyze calls in real-time and warn users about potential scams. The code references multiple device variants expected to launch in different regions, suggesting Samsung may expand the feature's availability beyond American borders. Google already offers Scam Detection on its Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 devices across multiple countries.

This integration represents a significant enhancement for Samsung's foldable lineup, which typically launches in July at dedicated Unpacked events. By partnering with Google on this security feature, Samsung addresses growing concerns about phone scams while leveraging existing AI infrastructure rather than developing its own solution.
