Oppo Reno15 Series Confusion Explained

Oppo launched the Reno15 series globally on January 1, followed by an India release a week later. The naming is confusing: India's Pro Mini is the global Pro model, while India's Pro is the global Pro Max. Despite the mess, the phones offer compelling specs like large batteries and high-resolution displays.

The flagship Reno15 Pro Max (called Pro in India) features a 6.78-inch OLED screen, a massive 6,500mAh battery, and a 200MP main camera. It's powered by the Dimensity 8450 chipset. The smaller global Pro, or Pro Mini in India, packs a 6.32-inch display and a 6,200mAh battery into a more compact body.

The standard Reno15 sits in the middle with a 6.59-inch display and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip. Pricing varies by region, with the Pro Max costing around NTD 25,000 in Taiwan and INR 68,000 in India. Oppo's strategy seems to prioritize different markets with tailored models, even if the branding is inconsistent.
