Nothing has released the open beta build of Nothing OS 5.0 for the Nothing Phone (3), based on Android 17. The update is accessed via the Nothing Beta Hub version 2.0 app, which must be installed first. Users need to go to Settings > System > Nothing Beta Hub, tap Check Version, then Join Beta to register.

The update will arrive as an over-the-air update, or can be manually checked under Settings > System > System updates. Nothing warns that this is unfinished software and may contain bugs, advising against use on primary devices without backing up data. To revert to a stable version, users can request a rollback through the same hub, though this will wipe all data.

The open beta rollout aligns with Nothing’s earlier announcement of OS 5.0’s release and supported device list.
