New images of what appears to be Apple's first folding iPhone have surfaced online, giving us our clearest look yet at the rumored iPhone Ultra. Shared by Sonny Dickson, these dummy unit photos show the device in both folded and unfolded states, revealing a white color option that may be the sole choice at launch.

The design shows a folding screen with a selfie camera positioned in the top-left corner, while dual rear cameras sit horizontally with an LED flash and microphone in the camera island. Volume buttons are located at the top edge, and notably, this model lacks an Action Button that appeared on recent iPhone Pro variants.

Rather than Face ID, the iPhone Ultra will reportedly use Touch ID for biometric authentication, marking a significant departure from current iPhone designs. This suggests Apple is optimizing the foldable form factor for different user interaction patterns.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone Ultra alongside the iPhone 18 series later this year, potentially reshaping the premium smartphone market with its entry into foldable devices. The design choices revealed here indicate Apple is taking a distinctly different approach than Samsung or Motorola.
