Apple unveiled its first foldable, the **iPhone Duo**, a wide foldable with a **5.4"** cover display and a **7.6"** inner panel near a **4:3** aspect ratio. It enters a niche category currently occupied by the **Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8**, which is thinner (**9.7mm** vs **11.3mm**) and lighter (**201g** vs **254g**) with a **4,800mAh** battery. The Duo offers stylus support and an under-display inner camera, features Samsung removed. Its camera setup includes a **48MP 1/1.28"** main sensor and **48MP** ultra-wide.

The **Xiaomi 18 Fold** launched this week with a **5.38"** cover and **7.58" 3:2** inner display. It weighs **219g** at **10.7mm** thick and packs a **6,000mAh** battery with **67W** wired charging. Its camera array leads with a **200MP** main, **50MP 3.5x** telephoto, and **50MP** ultra-wide.

The **Huawei Pura X Max** fits the form factor with a **5.4"** cover and **7.7" 4:3** inner display, plus a **50MP 3.5x** periscope lens and **5,300mAh** battery. However, the Pura X series remains China-exclusive. Apple's influence suggests more wide foldables will arrive in **2027**, though the original **Google Pixel Fold** nearly pioneered the category.
