Sony has unveiled the Prism Collection, a new line of transparent DualSense PS5 controllers that echo the iconic see-through designs popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Available in three colorways—orange, green, and gray—the controllers feature a high-gloss clear finish extending across the back, offering a glimpse into the internal technology that powers the DualSense.

A Sony representative stated the company aimed to revive the classic see-through trend in a modern way that complements the PS5's industrial design. The collection also includes matching console plate covers in the same three colorways, though these only cover the console's exterior without revealing internal components.

The Prism Collection will be available for preorder directly from PlayStation starting November 10, with shipments scheduled for February. The DualSense controllers are priced at $85 and the console covers at $75. Sony first experimented with translucent controllers during the PS1 era, and each PlayStation generation has since featured see-through gamepads at some point.
