Insta360 has launched the Snap, a magnetic touchscreen viewfinder that attaches to smartphones and mirrors the device's display. Priced at $80 for the standard version and $90 for the LED light variant, the accessory connects via USB-C and draws power directly from the phone. The company claims latency as low as 30ms, significantly better than Bluetooth alternatives.

Designed for both Android and iOS devices, the Snap works with iPhone 15 or newer and Android phones supporting USB-C and DisplayPort Alt Mode. The magnetic ring included with the device attaches to phones with MagSafe or Qi2 compatibility. The 3.5-inch touchscreen offers 480×800 pixel resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 550 nits peak brightness while maintaining a slim 7.3mm profile.

The LED variant adds three color temperatures and five brightness levels for enhanced lighting control. With its ability to serve as both a rear camera viewfinder and full phone screen mirror, the Snap provides a practical solution for content creators seeking better framing and control over their mobile photography and videography setup.
