Huawei confirmed the nova 16 series will launch in China on June 1, with the MatePad Pro Max joining the event. Four models make up the range: nova 16, nova 16 Pro, nova 16z, and nova 16 Ultra. Pre-orders have already opened in China.

Camera designs split across the lineup. The nova 16 Pro and Ultra share a rectangular camera island with twin circular discs holding triple rear sensors and an LED flash. The nova 16z stands apart with a pill-shaped rear module and dual LED flashes. Front cameras differ too: the Pro and Ultra use a pill-shaped cutout for their dual selfie cameras, while the standard nova 16 and nova 16z get a hole-punch cutout.

Leaks point to the nova 16 Ultra packing a 6.84-inch LTPO display, a Kirin 9-series chipset, and a 7,000mAh battery. The main rear camera should deliver 50MP with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. Huawei hasn't shared pricing or availability beyond China yet.
