Geekbench 7 Released with Updated Workflows

Primate Labs has officially released its latest cross‑platform benchmarking app – Geekbench 7. The new version brings updated workload tests and a redesigned approach to multi‑core CPU and GPU benchmarking.

On the CPU side, Geekbench 7 introduces media workloads for audio and video encoding, decoding, and processing, better reflecting everyday tasks such as video calls, screen sharing, and content consumption. Gaming tests now include a Game Physics workload built on the Jolt Physics engine, while the Photo Editor workload offers a richer set of real‑world edits.

The GPU focus shifts from 3D rendering to content creation and machine learning, with tests modeling face filters, upscaling images, and virtual background features in video calls.

Geekbench 7 runs multi‑core tests only when the real‑world task uses multiple cores, preventing inflated scores; the HTML5 browser test is now excluded. The app remains free for personal use and is available on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Sample runs on the Samsung Galaxy S26 and iPhone Air demonstrate the new benchmarks' breadth.
