Galaxy Watch Ultra2 & Watch9: New Chips, Bigger Batteries

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, both featuring the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. The Ultra2 boasts the largest battery yet on a Galaxy Watch, an 800mAh unit, and a significantly slimmer profile at 10.7mm. It also features a 1.52-inch, 5,000-nit display and is dive-ready with EN13319 certification.

The Galaxy Watch9 models arrive in 40mm and 44mm sizes with aluminum casings. They feature 3,000-nit displays and offer battery upgrades, with the 40mm model seeing a 20% increase to 390mAh. Both Watch9 sizes are IP68 and 5 ATM rated.

Both new watch lines are equipped with 2GB of RAM. The Ultra2 offers 64GB of storage, while the Watch9 models come with 32GB. New band designs are available for both lines, catering to different activities and aesthetics. The Galaxy Watch9 and Ultra2 are available for pre-order, with sales starting August 7.
