Super Mario Bros. Wonder gets a Switch 2 upgrade packed with new multiplayer modes. The enhanced version launches March 26 with Bellabel Park, a new Flower Kingdom area featuring 17 local co-op and versus modes. Players can compete in coin-collecting races or tackle boss courses with all seven Koopalings.

The update introduces GameShare support, letting up to three local players join on their own Switch systems. Online multiplayer expands to 12 players, while local wireless supports eight. A second player can now control a Luma using Switch 2's mouse controls, helping with enemy defeat and coin collection.

Nintendo adds an assist mode with propeller flower recovery from pits. The upgrade costs $20 for existing owners. Three new amiibo launch March 26, including Elephant Mario. A physical Talking Flower device releases March 12, functioning as a battery-powered smart speaker with temperature and time updates.

The Switch 2's enhanced features breathe new life into last year's acclaimed platformer. This update positions Nintendo's upcoming console as a true upgrade, adding social features missing from the original release.
