Sleeping in the Pebble Flow EV RV: A Luxe Tech Experience

Staying in the tech-infused trailer can feel like being in a spaceship — in a good way. There's something oddly thrilling, and a little terrifying, about steering a 6,000-pound trailer around a parking lot using only touchscreen controls on an iPad. That's the perfect encapsulation of what makes the Pebble Flow electric trailer unlike any other RV. With integrated solar panels, electric motors and automated hitching, the tech-forward trailer is meant to simplify the complexities and annoyances of RV ownership. That's Pebble's promise, anyway.

I've been intrigued by the Pebble Flow since colleagues first saw it on the CES showfloor in 2024. The futuristic-looking RV features a sleek, minimalist interior, a dedicated workspace and a full bathroom. But like any CES veteran will tell you, a carefully orchestrated demo is about as far from real-world conditions as you can get. So when Pebble gave me the opportunity to spend a day and night in one of their trailers at an actual campsite, I was curious to see if the $159,000 RV would feel as luxe as it seemed.

After nearly 24 hours in a Pebble Flow, I can confirm it's an incredibly comfy space to work and sleep in. My husband and I stayed in a Flow with a dinette at the front that converts into a bed, and a queen-sized Murphy bed in the back that doubles as a desk. Both of us had plenty of room, though I preferred the cushioned bench seats in the kitchen area.

One of the coolest features is that all exterior windows use electrochromic "smart glass" that changes from clear to frosted with a touch. However, the combination of interior LED lights and light-blocking windows can make it feel slightly disorienting, as if you're in a bright, pleasantly lit spaceship. Most of the time, though, my time in the Pebble Flow felt less like a trailer and more like a micro-hotel suite.
