Volkswagen confirmed the electric ID.Buzz will return for the 2027 model year after a quiet 2026 rollout, and it arrives with a camping‑focused trim. Dubbed the Tourer 4Motion, the package adds a fold‑out mattress, removable blinds, ventilation panels and a stowable table and chairs, turning the van into a mobile campsite. The interior also features ambient lighting.

The new Overnight Mode tweaks the vehicle’s software to preserve battery life on extended trips, while the companion Pro S 4Motion gets a retractable tow hitch, captain’s chairs, electrochromic roof glass and 20‑inch dark‑graphite wheels. Updated ID.S 6 software brings a more responsive navigation screen, one‑pedal driving support and a refreshed settings UI, plus a complimentary year of VW’s In‑Vehicle Premium apps.

Charging upgrades include a native NACS port and a simplified two‑tone paint lineup, highlighted by a new Candy White over Cherry Red combo. Production hiccups last year forced VW to wrap single‑color units to meet U.S. demand for dual‑tone finishes, prompting dealer rebates. Pricing and range figures remain undisclosed, leaving buyers to weigh the added campsite features against the current ratio.
