Prime Video to stream Duke basketball trio next season

Amazon’s Prime Video is expanding its live‑sports roster with three Duke men’s basketball games next season. The first matchup lands on Black Friday in Las Vegas, where Duke meets UConn at T‑Mobile Arena. December sees the Blue Devils face Michigan in New York’s Madison Square Garden, and a February 20 showdown with Gonzaga heads to Detroit. All three contests will be streamed on Prime Video.

Prime Video already carries MLB, NFL and NBA games plus WNBA and NWSL coverage, but this marks its first partnership with a college program. Duke, an ACC member whose televised rights belong to ESPN, will appear on Amazon’s platform in exchange for the Blue Devils participating in select ESPN‑owned events during the 2027‑28 and 2028‑29 seasons. The deal expands Amazon’s foothold in live sports.

For fans, the arrangement means a marquee college basketball slate will be reachable without a cable subscription, nudging traditional broadcasters toward streaming collaborations. Broadcasters may need to renegotiate ACC packages as Amazon proves willing to trade future event rights for immediate access. The agreement solidifies Prime Video’s evolution from on‑demand library to a comprehensive live‑sports hub.
