Developer Cyan Worlds is bringing updated versions of its classic adventure titles Myst and its sequel Riven to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store on May 19, officially priced at $35 each now. Myst previously appeared on Xbox, but this marks the first joint release with full PlayStation VR2 support, offering both flat‑screen and immersive modes.

Both games feature ray‑traced reflections and a Performance Mode that trades some effects for 60 fps. The Pro‑enabled PS5 version gains longer view distance, denser foliage and richer shading, while Xbox delivers 4K HDR and Play Anywhere support. Power Saver Mode cuts energy use, and the added ray tracing lifts the series’ classic lighting to modern standards. These options let players tailor performance to their own preferences.

Starting with a VR‑only Myst for Meta Quest in 2020, Cyan Worlds refreshed the series before launching a full Riven remake in 2024 on a shared engine. Bringing both titles to PlayStation and Xbox expands the audience beyond longtime PC fans and proves classic adventure puzzles still attract modern gamers. New players can finally explore the genre’s iconic challenges.
