Meta is reportedly developing an AI pendant and planning to release up to four new smart glasses before year-end, as part of an aggressive strategy to address the $19 billion losses in its Reality Labs division. The company purchased Limitless in 2025, maker of an AI recording device called Pendant, which aligns with Meta's vision to bring personal superintelligence through wearables.

Meta's VP for wearables, Alex Himel, revealed plans for a business-focused subscription service called "Wearables for Work" and expansion beyond existing Ray-Ban and Oakley collaborations. New models include "Modelo" debuting in June, followed by "Luna" and "RBM2 Refresh" this fall, with "Mojito VIP" planned for December.

The glasses will be powered by Meta's AI models and the unreleased AI agent Hatch. The company aims to sell 10 million wearables in the second half of 2026, targeting commercial deployments to at least two large organizations needing 100 devices each, as Zuckerberg expects Reality Labs losses to gradually decrease.
