Meta Launches Seller App for Facebook Marketplace

Meta has launched Seller, a new standalone app that professionalizes Facebook Marketplace for high-volume sellers. The app syncs with existing Marketplace accounts, carrying over listings, messages and sales history while providing dedicated tools like AI-powered listing creation, a unified inbox, inventory management and performance insights in one place.

Seller's home section highlights actions needing attention — items to ship, messages to reply to and listings to reprice — alongside sales performance data. A dedicated listing page uses Meta AI to auto-fill titles, descriptions, price suggestions and categories from uploaded photos, while a bulk listing feature enables multiple listings at once. The unified inbox organizes all buyer messages threaded by item.

Performance insights show views, clicks, message threads and sold listings. The launch coincides with Marketplace's 10th anniversary; the platform now serves over 1 billion monthly active users with 430 million items listed monthly worldwide. Seller is available to users 18+ in the United States on iOS and Android, with a web experience in testing.

Meta also introduced a Verified program using AI-powered facial recognition for identity confirmation. "This is just the start — we'll continue to evolve the app based on feedback from our seller community," the company stated.
