LG Unveils $5,000 Micro RGB TV with Full‑Gamut Color

LG rolls out its Micro RGB evo, a high‑end display that follows the trend first spotlighted at CES 2026. Consumers can pre‑order the 75‑inch model starting at $5,000 on the company’s website.

The unit builds on LG’s Mini LED heritage, swapping uniform blue LEDs for individually controlled red, green, and blue units. Powered by the Alpha A11 AI processor, the TV promises full DCI‑P3, BT.2020, and Adobe RGB coverage, plus more than a thousand dimming zones.

Compared to OLED, Micro RGB delivers richer color fidelity while OLED still excels in contrast and local dimming. Other players, like TCL and Samsung, are also testing the technology, but LG’s price point keeps it out of reach for mainstream buyers.

With 75, 86, and 100‑inch options, the Micro RGB evo signals LG’s push into premium, color‑centric home theater solutions, setting a benchmark for future high‑end TVs.
