Indie Game Showcase: New Releases & Demos

Steam Next Fest is running from February 23 to March 2, offering demos for hundreds of indie games. The Black History Month edition of the Black Voices in Gaming Showcase featured titles like Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator and upcoming games such as Erased, an open-world cyberpunk fighting game with parkour and dance battles. Zelda-inspired adventure Gecko Gods finally received a release date of April 16 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC.

New releases include Under The Island, a Zelda-inspired action RPG from Slime King Games priced at $20 with a 15 percent launch discount. Skate Bums offers 2D skateboarding action in the OlliOlli tradition for $15 with a discount until February 27. Demon Tides, a 3D open-world platformer from Fabraz, features paragliders and hookshots for $20 until March 5.

Upcoming games include Raccoin, a coin pusher roguelike from Balatro publisher Playstack arriving March 31. People of Note combines musical narrative with turn-based and rhythm-based combat for a April 7 release at $25 with a 10 percent discount. Woe Industries will host the Adventure Game Aptitude Test on February 28, challenging players with an '80s adventure game monitored for walkthrough usage.
