Google is expanding Ask Maps with agentic capabilities including food ordering via Toast, Square, and Uber Eats (first two at launch). Amanda Leicht-Moore demoed ordering avocado toast and an oat milk latte. The chatbot also enables hotel booking with real-time price comparison and live event discovery for comedy shows and concerts.

Personal Intelligence connects Ask Maps to Gmail (off by default) for personalized responses like restaurant recommendations near hotels, with Calendar integration coming later. History settings now remember past conversations. Maz Khorasani emphasized user control over data connections.

Live transit widgets display real-time info for services like Vancouver's Sea Bus. Local Guides can suggest edits via photos. Ask Maps is expanding to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and 150 countries and territories. Food ordering, hotel and event discovery, and conversational contributions debut first in the US.
