Amidst Xbox's significant layoffs and reorganization, Bethesda has unveiled a roadmap for its franchises. Preproduction has begun on Fallout 5, with remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas also confirmed to be in development. Additionally, Obsidian is working on its own Fallout title.

Bethesda continues to support Fallout 76 with a major expansion planned for next year, serving as a prequel to Fallout 3. Fallout Shelter will also receive new seasons and an unscripted TV show. The Elder Scrolls VI remains Bethesda's primary development focus, though it is still estimated to be over five years away.

Starfield is also considered an important part of Bethesda's future, with plans for new stories and gameplay improvements. This roadmap aims to provide clarity for fans, as acknowledged by Todd Howard, who prefers to discuss projects closer to release. The recent Xbox cuts have impacted Bethesda and its studios, including ZeniMax Online Studios, which lost a substantial number of employees.
