DJI’s latest DJI Mic Mini 2S brings internal 32‑bit float recording to a compact wireless mic that has long been popular with vloggers. The new unit adds a 14.5 GB memory chip, giving up to 28 hours of 24‑bit or 22 hours of 32‑bit audio, and it can now capture four mics simultaneously, a feature that the earlier Mini 2 lacked.

The transmitters weigh 12 grams, a gram more than the Mini 2, and feature a clearer clear cover with an orange Mini 2S logo. DJI’s receiver, available in camera and smartphone kits, supports up to four transmitters, has a 3.5 mm mic output, and a battery life of 10 hours—just shy of the Mini 2’s 10.5 hours.

Setup is plug‑and‑play: clip or magnet the mic, connect the receiver to a camera or phone, then adjust levels. The Mimo app lets you toggle 32‑bit float, activate AI noise reduction, and choose voice presets. When levels hit red, the 32‑bit float keeps audio clear, unlike the clipped 24‑bit output.

Pricing starts at $265 CAD for the camera kit and $99 CAD for the smartphone kit, but the product is not yet available in the US because of a national‑security ban. Europe and Canada can order it now.
