Apple is preparing for a major hardware announcement event as early as the week of March 2, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The company plans to unveil updates across its iPad and MacBook lineups, including the entry-level iPad, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. This follows Apple's October launch of the M5 MacBook Pro, which debuted the new chip in the 14-inch model.

The upcoming announcements will introduce the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips to the MacBook Pro lineup, with new 14-inch and 16-inch models expected. A refreshed MacBook Air is also on the horizon. For iPads, the entry-level model will gain Apple Intelligence capabilities through the A18 chip, while the iPad Air will receive the M4 processor. These updates represent Apple's continued push to integrate AI features across its product ecosystem.

Beyond the immediate announcements, Apple has additional hardware refreshes planned for later this year. The Mac Studio and Studio Display are slated for updates, along with a Mac mini refresh. Additionally, Gurman previously reported that Apple is developing its first "low-cost MacBook" to compete with Chromebooks and Windows PCs, potentially arriving in early 2026. This comprehensive hardware strategy demonstrates Apple's aggressive product roadmap for 2025.
