Amazon MGM Studios, Blur Studios, and Games Workshop are developing an animated TV show based on the Warhammer 40,000 sci-fi franchise. This new project will be a spinoff of the 'Secret Level' episode previously featured in an anthology show on Prime Video. Dave Wilson, who directed the original Warhammer 40K episode, will return as director and co-creator for the new animated series.

Henry Cavill, a prominent fan of the franchise, is attached as an executive producer. He is already involved in live-action adaptations of the game. Tim Miller, the creator of 'Secret Level,' will also serve as an executive producer, with Blur Studios, co-founded by Miller, contributing to the production. This collaboration brings together talent from the original anthology to bring the new animated show to life.

Games Workshop, the creator of the tabletop wargame, has provided updates on its live-action projects. While progress has been described as slow, with script development now underway years after Amazon secured the rights, CEO Kevin Rountree confirmed Cavill's continued involvement, alleviating fan concerns about his potential departure.
