Adobe announced a new integration with Slack, bringing more than 70 tools from apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Lightroom, Adobe Express, Adobe Stock, and Adobe Firefly directly into the Slack workspace. The capabilities allow users to complete creative and productivity tasks without leaving Slack. This implementation mirrors Adobe's recent ChatGPT plugin, which also provides access to over 70 tools across Adobe's creative and productivity suites. Adobe for Slack is available now for Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ customers on web, mobile, and desktop. The integration follows similar partnerships with Canva and Figma, which were introduced when Slack added Model Context Protocol support to Slackbot in June. Notably, users do not need an Adobe account to access basic functionality, though signing in unlocks full tool access. Once installed, users can message Slackbot with a task, and the AI assistant will leverage the appropriate Adobe tools to fulfill the request. Slackbot can pull content from Slack channels, Canvases, and Adobe Creative Cloud assets. Use cases include converting spreadsheets into visuals, generating marketing or social media content from templates, and performing bulk edits on large image sets.

The integration deepens Adobe's presence in collaborative workflows and aligns with the company's broader push to make its creative tools more accessible through AI-powered interfaces. By embedding these capabilities into Slack, Adobe aims to reduce friction for teams that rely on both platforms for daily communication and content creation.

With growing demand for seamless collaboration, Adobe's move positions it alongside competitors like Canva and Figma in leveraging Slack's expanded AI features.
