Adobe unveiled AI-powered updates for Premiere Pro and After Effects, focusing on speeding up video workflows. The new Object Mask feature in Premiere uses an on-device AI model to automatically select and track people or objects with a single click. Masks can be adjusted and resized, with Adobe stating it does not use user data to train its models.

The update also upgrades Shape Mask tools, offering redesigned Ellipse, Rectangle, and Pen masks directly from the toolbar. These masks now track objects 20 times faster than previous versions. Premiere now integrates directly with Firefly Boards and Adobe Stock, while After Effects gains the ability to import SVG files and build 3D parametric mesh objects.

These enhancements target professional editors and motion graphics artists, aiming to reduce tedious manual work. By bringing more AI tools on-device, Adobe addresses growing industry concerns over cloud processing and data privacy. The move deepens its Creative Cloud ecosystem, making its AI platform more central to daily production pipelines.
