Adobe released a sweeping Creative Cloud update this week, packing its flagship apps with AI-powered features and workflow upgrades. The changes hit Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Illustrator simultaneously, representing one of the company's most comprehensive feature drops in recent memory.

Lightroom users gain the production-ready Assisted Culling tool for sorting large photo libraries, plus Select Subject version 5 with improved masking for tricky elements like hair and bicycle spokes. Lightroom Classic adds duplicate detection and a Denoise tool optimized for Apple silicon that performs up to 3.6 times faster. Lightroom also gets Photo to Video and AI Sharpen capabilities.

Premiere Pro introduces Global Audio Mute, Marker Search, and Channel Blur effects alongside object masking and single-word captioning. After Effects adds four AI rotoscoping tools plus Displacement Maps and Depth of Field controls. Photoshop's new Reflection Removal tool automatically detects and isolates reflections for easy adjustment.

These updates reflect Adobe's aggressive push into generative AI across its creative suite, giving professionals more automated tools while maintaining granular control. The timing coincides with increased competition from AI-first editing platforms.
