IO Interactive admitted it bungled the PC specs announcement for its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light. The studio initially listed outrageous requirements, demanding 32GB of RAM and a 12GB VRAM GPU for 1080p/60fps gameplay. After a week of community backlash, IOI blamed an internal miscommunication for sharing outdated specs.

The corrected numbers now look far more reasonable. Recommended VRAM dropped from 12GB to 8GB, while RAM was halved to 16GB. This revision follows a thorough re-examination and additional testing, fixing inconsistencies like recommending an RTX 3060 Ti—which only has 8GB VRAM—for a 12GB requirement.

For 1080p/60fps, the new specs call for an Intel Core i5 13500 or AMD Ryzen 5 7600, 16GB RAM, and an RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT. With RAM and GPU prices fluctuating, IOI promises more performance details before the game's May 27 launch.
