iOS 27 and Beyond: Public Betas and Developer Previews

Apple released first of iOS, iPad OS, mac OS, watch OS, vision OS, and tv OS. iOS 27's public beta is now available, featuring Siri AI, iPhone speed upgrades, and more. Similarly, the watch OS 27 public beta offers an early look at Siri AI and enhanced Apple Watch features. iPad OS 27 and mac OS 27 beta 3 received version 2 updates alongside the public beta releases. Apple is also hosting an online session on July 23, 2026, for product managers and engineering leads to discuss implementing Siri AI and Liquid Glass in their apps for iOS. In parallel, Apple for iOS 26.6 and mac OS 26.6, along with fifth betas for watch OS 26.6, tv OS 26.6, and vision OS 26.6. The company also rolled out public release candidates for mac OS Sonoma 14.8.8 and mac OS Sequoia 15.7.8.

Apple's Legal Battles and Design Departures

Apple is involving former design chief Jony Ive in its lawsuit against OpenAI. The company attempted to shield Ive from the legal proceedings, but the situation may prove more complicated. Separately, Meta is of EU-mandated third-party device interoperability.

New Apps and Content on Apple Platforms

WordPress has called WordPress TV, bringing a wealth of video content to the platform. Apple TV is also gearing up for a busy sports schedule, with premieres ranging from pickleball and college basketball to the return of "Ted Lasso." Additionally, Twelve South has, a Mag Safe accessory designed to reduce counter clutter by eliminating the need for a separate charging cable.
