Owners of the Apple Watch can expect more than just Siri AI in watchOS 27, with 50 improvements arriving this fall. While iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate dominate headlines, the wearable's update brings substantial changes accessible in current betas.

The Dynamic App Grid replaces the standard app launcher, showing a Siri icon surrounded by five apps chosen by on-device intelligence based on time and location. The new Siri app features a glass-ball interface, synchronizes conversations across devices, understands personal context from messages and photos, and can take actions like sharing flight details or adjusting Activity rings.

Smart Stack gains hands-free navigation via double-tap and wrist-flick gestures, plus suggestions for birthdays and parked-car locations. Workout Buddy now operates independently on the watch, supports Spanish, and delivers deeper health insights like Zone 2 duration. Sleep tracking handles time-zone changes, and Cycle Tracking adds menopause support. Find My consolidates Devices, Items, and People into one app with map and list views, plus Precision Finding for AirPods Pro 3 and AirTag 2.

Settings add Fast Maximum Brightness for the flashlight, a dedicated Music Recognition toggle, and tap-gesture controls. Performance improvements include faster music playback, better battery life through resource optimization, more reliable Wi-Fi, and quicker App Extensions launches.
