SnowRunner on Mac ends updates, still playable

Apple gamers can still buy SnowRunner on the Mac App Store, but the off‑road simulator will no longer receive updates or new content. Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment confirmed that the last macOS patch shipped in November 2025, after which development halted. The game’s physics‑driven driving, route‑planning and cooperative multiplayer remain intact, yet no future seasons, DLCs, or balance tweaks will arrive for Mac users. Multiplayer stays functional, allowing Mac players to team up with Nintendo Switch friends, but the platform is effectively frozen.

The decision follows a broader trend of developers narrowing support to Windows and consoles, where the title enjoys higher sales. For now, the Mac version continues to run on macOS Sonoma or later, requiring a modern machine—Apple Silicon offering the smoothest experience. Long‑term compatibility will depend on Apple’s backward‑compatibility strategy rather than Saber Interactive’s support.

Players who enjoy the game on other platforms can still access new content, but Mac owners face a static library.
