Apple has released the third developer beta for macOS Tahoe 26.4, arriving a day behind its other operating systems. The update follows the February 23 and February 16 betas, with build 25E5223i replacing the previous 25E5218f version.

While iOS 26.4, iPadOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4, tvOS 26.4, and visionOS 26.4 all launched Monday, macOS Tahoe faced a one-day delay. AppleInsider suggests the company may have delayed the release to minimize code leaks ahead of potential new hardware announcements.

The delay comes as Apple prepares for possible M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro launches, with speculation about a MacBook Neo arriving Wednesday. Apple advises against installing beta software on primary devices and recommends waiting for the public beta version for a more stable experience.
