All USB‑C and Thunderbolt docks I've tested have been largely the same as boxes that connect with a bundled cable. Brydge goes a different route, opting for a new version of its vertical ProDock. Your Mac is physically docked in the device, working in clamshell mode and keeping your desk free and open.

The Trio supports three external displays and runs on Thunderbolt 5, delivering up to 80Gbps per port and 140W of power (up from the 90W on earlier models). The main downside is the magnetic phone charger, which supplies only 10W and is not a true MagSafe 25W charger. For users who keep their iPhone on the desk, it is adequate, but anyone who needs faster charging will find it lacking. Other than that, the ProDock Trio is a compact, vertical docking solution that frees desk space and supports high‑resolution displays for MacBook users.
