The most noteworthy benefit of the Echo 21 over its predecessor is that all Thunderbolt ports have been upgraded from Thunderbolt 4 to Thunderbolt 5. This is a substantial upgrade, as Thunderbolt 5 supports double the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 4, increasing from up to 40 Gbps to up to 80 Gbps of bidirectional data.
