New images claim to show components for a black Apple Vision Pro, reigniting rumors about a color variant of Apple's mixed reality headset. The leaked pictures, shared by Hong Kong developer pipfix/LusiRoy8, show what appear to be black components for the device. This isn't the first time black color options have been rumored for Vision Pro.

Previous leaks from Apple prototype collector Kosutami suggested a second-gen Vision Pro might come in black or dark blue as early as April 2025. The rumors gained traction with leaks of a dark blue connecting cable and black headset connector in December 2025. However, Apple has not confirmed any color variants beyond the current model.

While a black Vision Pro would likely be popular among users, releasing a new version with just a color change seems unlikely after critics called the M5 processor upgrade minimal. Following the Apple Watch Ultra precedent, Apple might eventually release a black version as a separate product, but it's unclear if this would justify another $3,500 purchase from existing owners.
