Apple Increases Vapor Chamber Orders for Foldable iPhone

Apple has reportedly increased vapor chamber cooler orders from suppliers for its first foldable iPhone and 20th-anniversary model. The report claims Apple "significantly increased" total vapor chamber cooling plates on order.

The first device to benefit will likely be the rumored foldable, called iPhone Ultra or iPhone Fold. Report comes from Weibo account "Fixed Focus Digital," same leaker who previously claimed iPhone Ultra would get new cooling system. However, this anonymous leaker is the only source.

Apple already uses vapor chamber cooling in the iPhone 17 Pro with its A19 Pro chip. The system uses water in sealed heat exchanger to move heat away. This makes sense for thin iPhone Ultra design and rumored 20th-anniversary iPhone 20 launching in 2027 with bezel-free build.

Fixed Focus Digital has mixed record: correctly predicted iPhone 16e name but incorrectly claimed iPhone 17 would gain 120Hz display. Rumor score: Likely.
