Apple Smart Glasses: Future Health Companion

Apple is shaping its upcoming non‑AR smart glasses into a health and fitness platform, though the features won’t debut with the first generation. Mark Gurman reports that the company had previously explored a Fitness+ app on Vision Pro that used body‑tracking, but weight and tech limits halted the effort.

The Vision Products Group is now hiring to "define the future of health, well‑being and fitness experiences across vision products," turning abstract possibilities at the intersection of spatial computing and wearables into tangible products. Apple may embed a heart‑rate sensor like that in AirPods Pro 3 and pair it with the Workout Buddy feature from the Apple Watch.

Cameras could analyze movement, offering real‑time feedback to improve workouts. However, these capabilities are expected to arrive a couple of years after the initial release of the glasses.

Meanwhile, Apple fans can enhance their experience with accessories such as the Anker Mag Safe/Qi2 Ultra‑Slim Battery Pack and the Logitech MX Master 4 mouse.
