Verizon rolls out $30 unlimited Simplicity plan for new customers

Verizon has rolled out a new Simplicity plan aimed at price‑sensitive shoppers. For new customers who enroll in Auto Pay, the offering starts at $30 per month and includes unlimited talk, text and data on the carrier’s 5G Ultra Wideband network. The plan also provides 10 GB of mobile‑hotspot data, international roaming and satellite texting.

Beyond the basics, Verizon bundles optional entertainment add‑ons that users can swap each month. A “For Movie Lovers” package adds Disney Plus, Hulu, Netflix and HBO Max for an extra $23, while other bundles cover music streaming, cloud storage and additional international perks. The Simplicity plan also launches a Verizon Dollars rewards program, returning 3 % of spend as credit toward partners like Starbucks and Target.

The low price comes with trade‑offs. Unlike other Verizon tiers, the rate stays at $30 per line regardless of how many lines are added, eliminating multiline discounts that families rely on. Video streams are limited to 720p, taxes and fees are extra, and existing Verizon users must pay $45 per line. For newcomers seeking a no‑frills unlimited plan, Simplicity delivers value; legacy customers or larger households will likely look elsewhere.
