Pixel 11 Pro Design Drops Unique Sensor

New renders of Google's Pixel 11 Pro reveal a streamlined camera bar design with the infrared temperature sensor conspicuously absent. The two-tone look from the Pixel 10 Pro has been replaced by a single black camera bar, creating a cleaner aesthetic at the cost of a unique feature. While the temperature sensor wasn't a major selling point, it provided practical functionality for scanning surface or body temperatures.

The Pixel 11 Pro maintains a compact footprint with near-identical dimensions (152.7 x 71.8 x 8.4mm) to its predecessor but slightly thinner. It will likely retain the 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which remains among the best for compact flagships. Google seems committed to preserving the device's manageable size while refining the overall appearance.

Internally, the Tensor G6 chip is almost certain, though RAM might shrink from 16GB to 12GB due to component pricing pressures. Storage configurations could also evolve, with the 128GB base model potentially being eliminated. The device is expected to launch in August, maintaining Google's typical release schedule and keeping the $999 price point or potentially increasing it.
