Samsung has reportedly begun distributing One UI 9 Beta 4, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy S26 series in India. This beta update, approximately 1.25GB, focuses on resolving several bugs encountered by users, including an issue with the Privacy Display routine on the S26 Ultra and a disappearing navigation bar during gaming sessions.

Further fixes in Beta 4 address problems with Bluetooth audio media volume when connected to a vehicle, timer notification instability, Quick Panel performance, and abnormal clock sizes on the lock screen during rotation. The update also includes the July 2026 security patch for the S26 lineup.

This release follows Beta 3, which was rolled out in mid-June and also brought significant fixes, such as resolving rebooting issues during video streaming and improving focus accuracy at 30x zoom. Samsung's consistent beta rollout cadence suggests a stable One UI 9 release may be approaching, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, where new foldables and smartwatches are expected.

While the beta is currently limited to the S26 series in specific regions, Samsung's rapid development of One UI 9 indicates a push towards a wider launch for current and previous-generation devices.
