Honor is taking on Samsung's foldable dominance with the Magic V6, unveiled at MWC 2026 ahead of its official Q2 launch. The Chinese company claims the white version is the world's thinnest foldable at just 4mm unfolded, matching the thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max when folded. Honor's Senior Product Expert Hope Cao revealed the company spent months engineering a stronger hinge using 2800MPa Honor Super Steel, nearly twice as strong as Samsung's material.

Beyond the slim profile, the Magic V6 achieves an IP69 water and dust resistance rating - a first for foldables - while housing a massive 6,660mAh battery in the global model. The Chinese version pushes even further with over 7,000mAh capacity and 32% silicon content. Honor's display innovations include a higher PWM rate for reduced eye strain, true 10-bit panels without temporal dithering, and a new anti-reflective layer that's 33% stronger against drops.

The camera system maintains Honor's excellent 50MP main and ultrawide sensors plus a 64MP telephoto, now with CIPA 6.5 stabilization for longer handheld exposures. While skipping sensor upgrades this cycle, Cao explained the focus was balancing imaging quality with the ultra-slim form factor. Magic OS 10 adds enhanced multitasking with three-app split-screen support and deeper Apple ecosystem integration through the Honor Connect app, positioning the V6 as a genuine Samsung alternative for users seeking both innovation and practicality.
