Google pushed out its June security update for Pixel devices shortly after Android 17 launched, bringing numerous fixes for lingering problems. The patch targets issues that persisted through the May update, particularly around display artifacts and power management. It's rolling out to Pixel 6 and newer phones as version CP2A.260605.012.

Display fixes include resolving a white flickering dot and graphical errors affecting the Pixel 10 series, plus solutions for screen freezing when connected to external displays on Pixel 8 series, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. Camera stability also gets attention, with crash fixes for Pixel 9 and 10 models that have frustrated users in recent months.

Battery and charging problems dominated Google's focus, addressing slow wireless charging speeds that plagued users between 75-80% battery levels. The update also resolves failed wireless and wired charging drivers during initial device setup. Audio stability issues and app crash problems are also included in this substantial patch.

The June Drop introduces new multitasking features like Bubbles and Bubble Bar for Pixel devices, plus Screen Reactions for overlaying selfie videos on screen recordings. Google's back-to-back patching suggests the company is prioritizing stability for Android 17, though users should expect gradual rollout across different regions and devices.
